Welcome to Part 2 of our sermon series, “Eat This Book: At First Bite.” In this session, we explore the poignant narrative of Genesis 4—the story of Cain and Abel. This story introduces us to significant biblical firsts, such as the first mention of sin, the first murder, and the concept of personal responsibility. We’ll delve into the repercussions of Cain’s actions and the profound lessons they hold for us today about sin’s deceit and the importance of offering what is right in God’s eyes. Join us as we uncover the depths of these early biblical events and their implications for our understanding of justice, accountability, and mercy.
