Is Your Purse Under A Curse?

Is Your Purse Under A Curse?

Malachi 3:8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. Malachi 3:9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation. Malachi 3:10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:11 “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, So that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, Nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts;

Far As The Curse Is Found

Far As The Curse Is Found

Genesis 1:31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was
very good…

Genesis 2:8 The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He
put the man whom He had formed.

Genesis 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree
of the garden you may freely eat;
Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat,
for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

Genesis 3:6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was
pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit
and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
Genesis 3:13 And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

Genesis 3:14 So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.
Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your
conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your
husband, And he shall rule over you.”
Genesis 3:17 Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice
of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying,
‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat
of it All the days of your life.
Genesis 3:18 Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall
eat the herb of the field.
Genesis 3:19 In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the
ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.”

Repent Or Perish

Luke 13:1 There were present at that season some who told Him about the
Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
Luke 13:2 And Jesus answered and said to them, “Do you suppose that these
Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans, because they suffered
such things?
Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.
Luke 13:4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them,
do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem?
Luke 13:5 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.”

Repent Or Perish

No Place Like Our Heavenly Home

No Place Like Our Heavenly Home

Ecclesiastes 12:5 … For man goes to his eternal home,

Ephesians 3:15 From whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place for you
John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive
you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

John 14:2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place for you

The word “place” literally means “to be at home.”

J.C. Ryle said, ” I pity the man who never thinks about heaven. ”

A young African seminary student wrote these words:
“I have been in the United States for several months now. I have seen the
great wealth that is here — the fine homes and cars and clothes. I have listened
to many sermons in churches here, too. But I have yet to hear one sermon
about heaven. Because everyone has so much in this country, no one preaches
about heaven. People here do not seem to need it. In my country most people
have very little, so we preach on heaven all the time. We know how much
we need it.”

Colossians 3:2 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above,
where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

Ephesians 3:15 From whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

Someone has said, “We should all be concerned about the future because we
will spend the rest of our lives there.”

I. Will we know one another in our heavenly home?

Matthew 8:11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit
down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 17:4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to
be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for
Moses, and one for Elijah.”

We won’t really know each other until we get to heaven.

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face.
Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

1 Corinthians 2:11 For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of
the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the
Spirit of God.

I Corinthians 13:12 … Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

II. What will we do in our heavenly home?

Mark Twain said, “A harp, a hymn book and wings? Good god, what a swindle.
I’m led to consider a different path. ”

According to a Time magazine poll, 43% of Americans believe that we will play
harps in heaven, and 36% think we will have halos in heaven

Psalm 90:10 The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength
they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off,
and we fly away.

1 Corinthians 6:3 Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more,
things that pertain to this life?

Here lies a poor woman who always was tired.
For she lived in a place where help wasn’t hired.
Her last words on earth were, “Dear Friends, I am going
Where washing ain’t done, nor sweeping, nor sewing;
And everything there is exact to my wishes,
For where they don’t eat, there’s no washing of dishes,
Don’t weep for me now, don’t weep for me ever;
For I’m going to do nothing forever and ever.

Revelation 14:13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write:
Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ “Yes” says the Spirit,
“that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”

Hebrews 4:10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from
his works as God did from His.

Matthew 11:28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest

Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the
dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed
us from our sins in His own blood,
Revelation 1:6 And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father,
to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called
you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

Revelation 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which
no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing
before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm
branches in their hands,
Revelation 7:10 And crying out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs
to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”
Revelation 7:11 All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the
four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,

When we’ve been there ten thousand years bright shining as the sun.
We’ve no less days, to sing God’s praise, than when we first begun.

Christian author John Eldredge in his book, The Journey of Desire writes,
” Nearly every Christian I have spoken with has some idea that eternity is an
unending church service … We have settled on an image of the never-ending
sing-along in the sky, one great hymn after another, forever and ever, amen.
And our heart sinks. Forever and ever? That’s it? That’s the good news?
And then we sigh and feel guilty that we are not more spiritual.”

Revelation 15:4 Who shall not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy. For all nations shall come and worship before You,

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed
what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him,
for we shall see Him as He is.

‘Weak is the effort of my heart,
And cold my warmest thought,
But when I see Thee as Thou art,
I’ll praise Thee as I ought’.

A.W. Tozer said,” Eternity will not be long enough to learn all He is , or to praise
Him for all He has done.”

Those in heaven know better than we do what we are saved from and what we
are saved to

1 John 3:2 … we shall be like Him,

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed
to the image of His Son …

Luke 23:43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today “you will be
with Me” in Paradise.”

2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from
the body, “and to be present with the Lord.”

Philippians 1:23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to
depart and “be with Christ, which is far better.”

1 Thessalonians 4:17 … And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

John 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive
you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

This world is not my home I’m just a passing through
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me from heaven’s open door
And I can’t feel at home in this world anymore

John 14:3 …That where I am, there you may be also.
